About

THE GUY

The HoneyBear is published daily-ish by a guy from Lowell, Massachusetts, USA who’s often covered in Hey, that's me.orange cat fur. He has a bunch of cameras and a few computers.

He reads a lot, does crossword puzzles and cryptograms, wears glasses and a gray beard, goes to work many days, wanders through cities and hiking trails, likes riding trains and bicycles, and is a bleeding-heart liberal.

He’s doing this is to remind himself to take at least one interesting photo every day.

THE CAMERAS
Unless otherwise indicated these are the cameras that took the pictures:

Olympus TG-5 Tough:
June 16, 2017 – present
Nikon Coolpix S9900:
Jan 25, 2016 – present
Olympus TG-870 Tough:
Sep 24, 2016 – April 2017 (I somehow lost a neon green camera)
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1:
Nov 25, 2014 – early 2016 (camera + drop = out-of-focus)
Canon PowerShot SX280 HS:
Aug 20, 2013 – Nov 24, 2014 and Jan 2016 (then crap!)
Apple iPhone SE or 5s:
(when I forget my camera)

I almost always carry a camera, but seldom carry a phone.

THE RIDES

But now old friends are acting strange
they shake their heads, they say I’ve changed
But something’s lost but something’s gained
in living every day
